Brewed since 2019, Unibroue’s ‘‘À tout le monde’’ beer was such a success that Jerry Vietz and Dave Mustaine were happy to join their creative minds once again.

The result is a delicious Saison that flirts with the pale ale style. Their ‘‘Saison 13’’, with its pale amber color and red-orange hues, is brewed with thirteen carefully selected ingredients. This distinctive beer offers the perfect combination of malt, fruit and spices punctuated by its fresh hops taste.

Saison 13 is also the latest, greatest expression of Dave Mustaine’s lifelong fascination with the number 13, which he demonstrated by naming an album and a song after it.

STYLE: Unibroue-style mega-spiced Saison. 6.1% ABV.

APPEARANCE: Deep golden / light amber color with a dense 2-finger height white colored head. Soapy dense lacing on sides of glass as liquid is consumed.

AROMA: Classic Saison aromas of sweet malt, coriander, Curaçao orange peel. Notes of stone fruit – apricot, young peach skin, grassy, herbal hop aroma. There is a high level of complexity of aromas from the 13 ingredients.

FLAVOR: Aromas carry over into the flavor with an excellent balance of malt, spices, and hop bitterness.

MOUTHFEEL: Carbonation level is moderate, fills the entire mouth with its effervescence. Spice and hop bitterness lingers in the finish, inviting you to take that next sip.

IMPRESSION: This was the first time to taste this beer. It exceeded my expectations! I consider it a “hybrid” if you will, with the spiciness of a Saison, and the hoppiness of a Pale Ale. This is a very versatile liquid which can be paired with a wide variety of cuisines and seasons. Regularly available, highly recommended.
