Brewed since 2017, Blonde de L’Enfer is a seasonal ale available for a limited time.

NOTABLE AWARD: It took World’s Best Medal in the Pale Belgian-Style Ale at the World Beer Awards in 2018.

Staying true to their tradition of Belgian style inspiration with a touch of Québécois culture, they crafted a nonconformist take on a classic style, the Belgian Golden Ale. These ales are traditionally named after hellish demons due to their lust for power and in reference to the beer’s deceitful drinkability. Our golden ale is such a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Brewed with a unique Belgian yeast strain, this sinfully smooth refermented specialty ale is artfully crafted for a delicate balance of spice, malt, and hop flavors with a fine champagne-like effervescence.

STYLE: Unibroue-style Golden ale. 10.5% ABV.

APPEARANCE: Medium Golden color, white color head is dense and creamy. Champagne-like bubbles stream throughout, and there is thick lacing on the sides of the glass during consumption.

AROMA: Bready Unibroue yeast, spices, Citron lemon, white pepper, cardamom.

FLAVOR: Bready Unibroue yeast, mint, allspice, white pepper, golden malt, balanced hop bitterness.

MOUTHFEEL: High carbonation, hits the tip of the tongue, and excites the entire mouth with its effervescence. The finish is spicy, hot, and with a “warming” that lingers for a long time, hence the flames on the label!

IMPRESSION: The moment I tried it for the first time on December 2, 2017, we knew that Master Brewer Jerry Vietz had a Platinum Medal winner on his hands, and we were right! More than likely, bottles will be almost impossible to find, due to that it sells out so quickly. If you can find more than one, grab them! World class ale. Top notch.
